Light Updates Arrive for a Refreshed 2020 Volvo XC90

The current generation XC90 has been around since 2015, but that hasn't stopped Volvo from finding ways to improve it. Each year, Volvo brings out subtle tweaks for its three-row luxury SUV that aim to keep it ahead of the curve.

These updates continue in 2020. Volvo has announced that 2020 XC90 models have been refreshed with some exciting new features to enhance performance, comfort, safety, and more.

Electrified "B" Badge Model: Volvo has been vocal about its goal to continue electrifying its model lineup, and the 2020 XC90 is prove of that focus. Alongside the T8 Plug-In Hybrid powertrain, the XC90 now offers the "B" badge. Picking option equips your gas-powered XC90 with a kinetic energy recovery braking system. This feeds electrical power into the powertrain, enhancing performance and improving efficiency by up to 15 percent along the way.

Varied Seating Configurations: The XC90 now offers three different seating configurations. Before, drivers could choose from the standard seven-seat configuration and the available four-seat configuration in the Excellence trim. Now, a six-seat configuration is available.

Safety Additions: Several safety upgrades arrive in the new XC90. These include City Safety with Auto Brake, Blind Spot Information System, Oncoming Lane Mitigation System, and Cross Traffic Alert technology.

Exterior Appointments: Though styling remains largely the same, the 2020 XC90 offers new colors, wheel options, and a refreshed grille design.

The new Volvo XC90 and its 2020 updates will be available at Suburban Volvo Cars. Come see for yourself what this luxury SUV has to offer. We're sure you'll be impressed by the XC90's refinement, performance, and overall quality.
